The New "apple" of My Eye

i have a new love...make that two new loves: my MacBook Pro and my iPhone. i cannot express the joy they bring. 

MacBook Pro. such a beauty.

i got my MacBook on tax-free weekend and it definitely lives up to my expectations. it is so user-friendly and has many fabulous features: the photo booth allows me to take the most hysterical pictures with the built-in camera (this has provided caleb, my friends, and me countless hours of entertainment); iPhoto is so much more than cropping and making a picture black & white (the retouch feature makes dark circles, blemishes, wrinkles, etc, vanish - one could get carried away here); the keyboard magically lights up when i need it to; and more. i will never go PC again. put me in the commercial next to the hip actor-dude and i will gladly state, "my name is emily, and i'm a Mac."

this past weekend i upgraded to an iPhone and i am already completely smitten. i feel like a cross between a southern female 007 and mrs. jetson when i use this thing. the people at apple aren't exaggerating when they say, "there's an app for that." it's super-easy to use and everything is right where you need it. no more going through a dozen steps to find what you're looking for. it's all right there on the gorgeous home screen.

now, separately these two are wonderful. but put them together and they are brilliant. all i have to do is plug my phone into my computer and it's like they read each other's minds. iPhone: "hmmm, i see emily added a date to her calendar on the computer. i should add that too." MacBook: "oh, emily has added a new contact on her phone, i need to add that to my address book." same with new photos, new iTunes purchases, all of it. quite impressive.

so when it's time for a new computer or a phone upgrade, i highly recommend all things apple. trust me, you won't be disappointed!
